Desk Kit — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Desk Kit is a productivity app that bundles several small tools (notes, drawing, journal, tasks, schedule, countdown, tracker, prices, and voice memos). I designed Desk Kit to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

The short version

Desk Kit does not collect, sell, or share your personal data with me or any third party. I have no servers, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Your content stays on your device, and — if you are signed in to iCloud — syncs privately through your own iCloud account so it is available on your other devices. I never have access to it.

What data Desk Kit stores, and where

All of the content you create in Desk Kit — notes, drawings, journal entries, tasks, schedules, countdowns, tracker entries, price lists, and voice memo recordings — is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to me or to any third party.

This data is removed from your device when you delete the app.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, Desk Kit can sync your content through your own private iCloud account (using Apple's CloudKit) so it stays up to date across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud database, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. I have no access to it — there are no developer-operated servers involved, and I never receive, see, or store your content.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, Desk Kit simply works as a local-only app and nothing leaves your device. Removing the app from a device does not erase the copy held in your iCloud account; you can manage or delete that data from your device's iCloud settings.

Apple Watch and Home Screen widgets

Desk Kit includes an optional Apple Watch app and Home Screen widgets that show some of your content (such as tasks, tracker, journal, countdowns, prices, and voice memos) outside the main app. These stay entirely within your own devices:

Device permissions

Desk Kit asks for the following permissions only when you use the feature that needs them. Denying a permission only disables that one feature.

Purchases

Desk Kit offers optional one-time tips ("Buy me a coffee", "Buy me a meal") to support development. These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Desk Kit never receives or stores your payment information. Tips unlock no features — they are voluntary thank-yous.

Children's privacy

Desk Kit does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
