Yes — every feature is free, forever. There are no paywalls and nothing locked behind a subscription. If Desk Kit earns a place on your Home Screen, you can leave an optional tip to support development, but it's entirely your choice.

The in-app purchases are optional one-time tips — a coffee ☕️ or a meal 🍽️ if you enjoy the app. Every feature stays free either way: they unlock nothing and there's nothing to restore. Payment is handled securely by the App Store. Think of them as a thank-you, not a purchase.

No account required. Open the app and start right away. Your data lives on your device — no sign-up, no email, no password.

No tracking, no ads, no analytics. The app makes no network calls unless you choose to enable iCloud sync. Your data never touches a developer-operated server.

Your local data is removed with the app. If you had iCloud sync enabled, a copy remains in your private iCloud account — you can delete it from iCloud settings at any time. No data is stored on our servers because we don't have any.

If you're signed in to iCloud, Desk Kit can sync your content across your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The data goes directly between your devices — it never passes through our servers. The app works fully offline; changes sync once you're back online.

Yes. All your data is stored locally on your device and the app works entirely offline. If iCloud sync is enabled, any changes made offline will sync automatically when a connection is available.

Open the note you want to protect, tap the lock icon in the toolbar, and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID. Locked notes stay hidden until you authenticate. You can unlock or remove the lock at any time the same way.

Yes. In Notes, Tracker, Prices, and Countdown, items are grouped into folders shown as a chip bar at the top of the list. Press and hold a folder and choose Lock, then confirm with Face ID or Touch ID. While it's locked, the folder's items are hidden everywhere on that iPhone or iPad — in the list (even under “All”) and in anything you share or export. They're also kept off your Apple Watch and Home Screen widgets entirely, because those can't ask for Face ID. Unlock with Face ID to view them again, or remove the lock the same way.

Desk Kit supports 16 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Hindi, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, and Russian — with full right-to-left layout for Arabic and Hebrew. You can switch language instantly from inside the app without restarting.

This is intentional. The weekly grid needs horizontal space to be readable, so tapping Schedule opens a dedicated full-screen landscape view. Tap the ✕ button to return to the rest of the app in portrait.

Yes. Give a task a date-and-time alarm, a countdown a heads-up a few days before, or a tracker a daily reminder — each with an optional custom message. One switch in Settings turns all reminders on or off. They're local notifications, so nothing leaves your device, and on a paired Apple Watch they alert on the watch too.

Your data is stored locally on your device, so it's included in your iPhone's regular iCloud device backup — and restored when you set up a new device. If iCloud sync is on, your content is also kept in your own private iCloud.

In Settings, the Sound section has separate switches for the Tasks, Tracker, and Prices sound cues. Reminders use notifications, and they have their own master switch under Notifications — turn it off to stop all task, countdown, and tracker alerts at once.

Yes — Desk Kit is fully built for VoiceOver, Apple's built-in screen reader. Every button, switch, and list item is labelled, the selected option in a group is announced, and purely decorative graphics are skipped, so you can work through every tool — from recording a voice memo to filling in the weekly schedule — entirely by ear. Turn it on in iOS Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver. The spoken labels follow whichever of the 16 in-app languages you've chosen.

Yes — Desk Kit follows your system text size. Turn up Larger Text under iOS Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text and text throughout the app grows to match, with layouts adapting so nothing is cut off. The very largest accessibility text sizes are capped so the layout stays comfortable to use.

Yes. In Settings, the Bottom menu section lets you choose which tools appear in the bottom bar — turn off any you don't need and they're removed from the bar. This only changes the bar: your content is kept, and you can switch a tool back on anytime. At least one tool always stays in the bar, and Settings is always available from its own button.
